Our story
Why these fragrances exist
Twelve compositions, one concentration, no seasonal collections and no limited editions. A wardrobe meant to be worn, not collected.
Where it started
AMANA was started in Bali by someone who kept buying fragrances that smelled remarkable for an hour and of nothing by lunchtime. The answer was not a new note or a new bottle. It was concentration, and the patience to blend in quantities small enough to get it right.
Extrait de parfum, and only that
Every AMANA fragrance is an extrait de parfum. Where most houses offer the same composition as an eau de toilette, an eau de parfum and occasionally an extrait, we make one version — the most concentrated one. It costs more to produce and it lasts longer on skin. There is no lighter version to trade down to, because a lighter version is a weaker fragrance sold at a friendlier price.
The three sizes
Every composition comes in 30, 50 and 100 ml at the same concentration. The 30 ml is not a lighter version — it is the same juice in a bottle that fits in a pocket. Choose the size by how often you expect to reach for it, never by how strong you want it to be.
Twelve, and no more
Twelve is enough to cover amber, leather, rose, oud, fruit and citrus without repeating ourselves. Adding a thirteenth would mean either a variation on something already here, or a composition made to fill a gap in a catalogue rather than a gap on your skin. Neither is a good reason.
